Everyone loves a burger, but when that burger is only 376 calories per serving, then everyone REALLY loves burgers, and despite the tiny calorie count, this recipe hits your minimum protein requirements to maximally stimulate muscle protein synthesis, but does it all while tasting incredible.
To make this recipe gluten free, swap in the bun for a gluten free version
1) In a pan on medium heat with some 1 calorie cooking spray add your turkey burger (optionally with some cayenne pepper for extra heat). and begin to cook. Cook until one side is golden brown and then flip and repeat, cook until the burger is fully cooked.
2) While your burger is cooking, slice your brioche bun and prepare to toast either by heating your grill or in the toaster.
3) Mix your mustard and honey, and add any salt and pepper to taste.
4) When your burgers are almost ready toast your buns until lightly toasted, and add your onion into your pan for the last minute or two of cooking.
5) Take your buns out the toaster and top the base with your honey mustard, then add 1 lettuce leaf, your burger, tomato, onion, another lettuce leaf and the lid!This recipe goes great with sweet potato fries!
